Padme’s advisory board comprises a vibrant mix of eminent minds from the areas of adoption, academia and the technology.
Padme is proud to have Dr. Aloma Lobo, Dr. Shonali Chinniah and Ms. Savita Singh on the Advisory Board.
Dr. Aloma Lobo
Dr. Aloma Lobo worked with St. Johns, and World Health Organization.
She was the chairperson of the ACA (Adoption Coordinating Agency) and as the former chairperson of CARA. Dr. Aloma Lobo has worked in the field of Adoption for 30 years. (Central Adoption Resource Authority)
Dr. Shonali Chinniah
Dr. Shonali Chinniah has a Ph.d in Ecology from Cornell University. She currently runs a company called Curiouscity that works with children and hands on science education, and has done many workshops and teacher training programs in Government schools around India. She has also volunteered and helped several NGO’s including Ashraya (a women’s and child welfare organization started by her mother Mrs. Nomita Chandy) that was at the forefront of adoption for many years. Over the years she has been involved in meeting families of children adopted from Ashraya in the US where she studied, giving the older children computer training workshops, running science camps at the Ashraya Neelbagh School, raising funds for the organization.
Sharon Lopez
Pedagogue, Researcher in Motherhood Studies, Oral Historian and Child Rights Law researcher and consultant. Her main interest is in developing a multi-dimensional supportive space that enables mothers to navigate policies and legalities around motherhood. She is additionally interested in how literature, communication and the arts can engage with professional development and community transformation. She has undertaken projects that provide vocational rehabilitation for vulnerable groups.
