Immediate placement
The immediate placement category was introduced in 2016 by Central Adoption Resource Agency (CARA. This category allows PAPs to opt for a child without a long wait, and without compromising their seniority in the registration.
When parents opt for this additional category, they have a readily available and a bigger set of children for them to reserve. They can view their profile and reserve a child thus eliminating a long waiting period.
Counselling will be useful and is a must if you decide to choose this category
Children available in the immediate placement will include:

Children who have been referred several times to prospective adoptive parents (PAP’s) through Child Adoption Resource Information and Guidance System, but have not found a family (could be physical attributes, colour, minor medical ailments, etc)

Older children (above 5-6 years of age)

Siblings together / or one of them could be in the typical category or special needs. All siblings will be together whether they are in the immediate placement, special needs or typical lists
Process

Register with Carings – Prospective adoptive parents have to register online for adopting a child and upload their documents in CARINGS

This will be followed by a home study report which will be conducted by the specialized adoption agency

The social worker will conduct a detailed study of the PAP’s eligibility, social, economic, health, psychological status

This process will take a month.

Once the home study is approved and uploaded, the PAP can view and access the Immediate Placement list on the CARINGS site as well.

The PAP can reserve their child from the immediate placement list visit the specialized adoption agency

PAP can bring the child home under the pre-adoption foster care within 14 days of reserving the child

If the PAP does not accept a child from the immediate placement list, they continue to be eligible for the regular adoption procedure without their position in the queue getting affected.

Upload the soft copies of ID proof(Aadhar)marriage certificate, proof of residence, family photograph and medical certificate
